Atlanta is the most frugal city in the U.S., according to Coupons.com. Atlanta residents are four times as likely to print coupons or save them to a store loyalty program as the average American city dweller.
Orlando, Fla., ranks number two, with Tampa, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Charlotte, N.C. rounding out the top five. Five cities that dropped out of the top 25 this year are Raleigh, N.C.; Seattle; Salt Lake City; Indianapolis; and Providence, R.I.
Some 305 billion coupons were distributed in the U.S. in 2012. The ranking is determined by each area’s total issued coupon savings-including coupons printed or saved to a store loyalty program-on coupons.com.
