Nearly all cell phone owners (94%) believe their data and revealing photos are safe in the hands of their significant other, according to McAfee. However, 10% of ex-partners have threatened to expose risqué photos of their ex online, and these threats are carried out 60% of the time.

Women are more likely than men to have an ex threaten to expose their photos online (12% versus 8%) and have these threats actually happen (63% versus 50% among that group).

Nearly half of men have tracked their partner or ex on Facebook or Twitter, compared to 37% of women who track their men. Men are also more likely than women to check their partner’s email, social media pages, or bank accounts (57% versus 52%).
