Two in Three Moms Spend More on Kids Than Themselves

Two in three moms ages 25-54 with kids under age 18 living in their households (65%) say they spend more money on their kids than themselves, according to the Total Beauty Media Group. More than eight in 10 of these moms (85%) go back-to-school shopping with their children, and 68% make unplanned purchases upon a child’s request.

Moms are more likely than non-moms to use their mobile devices in the afternoon (31% vs. 23%) but less likely to use them in the evening prime time hours (40% vs. 52%), according to Total Beauty Media Group.

Moms are more likely than non-moms to play online games (67% vs. 57%). Plus, 29% of moms play online games with their kids.
