5/15/2013

More than nine in 10 parents with children under age 18 (91%) prepared ethnic food at home in the past month, compared to 78% of those without children, according to Mintel.

Although these families with children prepared a wide variety of ethnic dishes, Hispanic food is the most popular. Nearly three in four families with children (72%) prepared Hispanic cuisine in the past month, compared to 50% of those without children. Italian and Asian are the other popular forms of ethnic food typically prepared at home.
