Women Suffer More Than Men From Sleep Disorders

Women are more likely than men to suffer from lack of sleep or sleep disorders (88% vs. 78%), according to biotechnology company Targeted Medical Pharma. Women are also more likely than men to say anxiety and stress are the leading reasons for their inability to get restful sleep (56% vs. 40%).

More women than men are willing to take a prescription sleep aid to improve their sleep (29% vs. 20%) but are less likely to use something other than prescription sleep aids to help them rest (68% vs. 75%).
