The most common way teens write outside of school work is to pen notes or letters to other people (64%), according to the Pew Research and American Life Project. One in three (34%) write in a journal, 31% engage in short writing involving less than one page, and 26% do some type of creative writing, such as poetry, fiction, or short stories. [Hobbies/Leisure]
