Kid School Lunches Feature Fruit, And Wheat — Not White — Bread

Eight in 10 health-conscious moms (79%) are opting for whole grain or enriched bread rather than white bread for their kids’ school lunches, according to Mom Central Consulting. Eight in 10  moms (82%) regularly pack fruit in the lunchbox. Also:

86% plan out their children’s meals in advance to ensure they eat a variety of healthy foods.

76% select portion-controlled snack packs when adding dessert or treats to their child’s lunchbox.

67% look for products fortified with minerals and vitamins.

57% will purchase a high nutritional value item if it’s packaged conveniently or individually wrapped. [Food/Beverage]
