Artemis Strategy Group conducted a study completed in August 2022 focused on the lasting impact of the Sars-COV-2 pandemic. They found that 51% of Americans said that the forced pause the COVID-19 pandemic created the reset they needed to do something different with their lives. Younger, Black and Hispanic were more most likely to say the pandemic was a reset.

32% wanted to find a purpose or greater meaning in their lives
31% tried things that they had always wanted to do
20% said that work/personal goals balance fit better
72% of Americans said that the pandemic had a substantial effect on their lives. 41% within that group say their lives have returned to normal and 31% say the effects of the pandemic are substantial and lasting.
Within the challenges of the fallout of the pandemic, 78% of Americans have said they experienced a financial or health problem since March 2020 when lockdowns were implemented. Emotional health took the biggest hit with 43% of Americans saying their emotional/mental health was negatively impacted. 32% and their mental health now is worse than in early 2020.
Most haven’t yet recovered financially from the pandemic, 43% say they’re worse off now then before March 2020 and 40% say they haven’t in control of personal finances.
The pandemic symbolizes a cataclysmic change for many. 68% made lasting changes with their health and finances. 47% pay more attention to their health now and 57% are more careful with their money.
