Loyal Coffee Patrons Buy Less Often

Consumers who buy morning coffee and/or breakfast at McDonald’s are more loyal to the chain than those who buy it at Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks, according to CustomersDNA. More than six in 10 McDonald’s coffee customers (62%) buy from McDonald’s only, not visiting either of the other chains in a typical month.

About four in 10 customers of Starbucks (41%) and Dunkin’ Donuts (42%) are loyal to these chains in an average month. Loyalists buy coffee and/or breakfast less frequently, however — making an average of 6.7 purchases per month, compared to 13 purchases by those who visit multiple chains. [Food/Beverages]
