Lonely Planet signs a deal with publisher Weldon Owen to introduce the Lonely Planet Not-for-Parents Travel series. Each book provides tween-targeted facts, stats, and inside tips for a tourist-popular destination. For instance, London’s guide showcases where Jack the Ripper lived and hung out.
The series debuts in fall 2011 with London, New York City, Paris, and Rome. Lonely Planet anticipates publishing 4-6 new cities each season. [Publishing/Travel]
