The vast majority of adults have experienced a snow day, in which they were unable to go to work or do other activities because of snow, according to Nestle. About 40% have stayed home from work when they were able to travel because their company declared a snow day.
Most (81%) prefer to stay indoors on a snow day. Their favorite activities include reading books (56%), watching old movies (45%), and cooking or baking (44%). Less than a quarter (23%) shovel snow on snow days, and 17% go skiing or sledding. Women are 18% more likely than men to say they read books on snow days, and they are 27% more likely to cook or bake.
