Millennials Are The Generation Cutting Back The Most On Spending

06-01-12 One in four Millennials (24%) say they do not have enough money to cover basic needs, compared to 17% of those ages 35-54 and 13% of those over age 55, according to WSL Strategic Retail. Also:

• 80% of Millennials believe it’s important to get the lowest price on most items they purchase.

• 63% only purchase brands they can trust and only shop at stores they know they can afford.

• 60% are likely to purchase a lower-priced brand over their preferred brand if it means they can save money.

• 57% make it a point to search online for discounts before shopping in stores.
