More than nine in 10 college students (92%) consider a laptop a necessity for school, according to Newegg and Wakefield Research. However, 36% who started school with a laptop said they were not completely happy with it throughout the academic year.
One in three college students say their parents purchased an item for them for school that they don’t like or don’t use. More than half (53%) don’t trust their parents to select the right printer, and 70% want to determine which software products to purchase.
One in four students feel that owning a tablet would improve their grades. Six in 10 say they would use tablets to research topics for classes (61%) and to read digital textbooks (60%).
