Teen retailer Quiksilver’s “Let The Sea Set You Free” social media campaign for its Roxy brand attracted more than 300,000 Facebook fans in two months.
A companion contest attracted more than 5,000 entries in 83 countries. An outdoor fitness line launched concurrently with the campaign is projected to do $6 million in retail sales in its first year. The Roxy footwear brand has $50 million in retail sales annually in the U.S.
