Social Media Raises Teens’ Awareness

More than half of teens (56%) say social media sites have made them more aware of the needs of others, up from 44% who felt this way in 2011, according to World Vision and Harris Interactive. More than three in four teens (76%) feel it is primarily the responsibility of churches and other religious institutions to help address hunger in the local community, while 66% also feel some responsibility lies with them.
