Women’s Fashion Trends to Watch

4/1/13

Fashion forecaster WGSN predicts higher-end fabrics and patterns and plunging necklines will be key trends in women’s apparel for fall 2013. Other trends to watch:

  • Sweatshirts as the new staple top, with four distinctions: all-over printed, feminine, collegiate, and big animal graphics.
  • Pleated miniskirts referencing the collegiate schoolgirl.
  • Ultra wide-leg trousers to counteract the skinny jean trend from past seasons.
  • Coated and bonded fabrics, such as rubberized lace and sheer chiffon backed by wool, helping create a sense of newness among clothing staples such as tops and denim.
