Women typically have a girls night out with their friends one or two times per month, according to Women’s Health magazine. They bring along three friends, consume three or four drinks during the evening, and call it a night at 2 a.m.
Girls night out topics of discussion are men, work, and gossiping about their friends. Their preferred late-night destinations for meals are local pizza parlors, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s.
Most women (55%) have flirted with a bartender to get free drinks, and 65% drink shots during their evenings. Almost eight in 10 (79%) say it’s possible to have a fun night without drinking alcohol.
Although 43% have gone out specifically to meet guys, one in two never give men their phone numbers. Seven in 10 (70%) have gone out with girlfriends but gone home with a guy. A majority (58%) have a preferred uniform for going out.
Women are more likely to turn down karaoke than participate in these sing-alongs (38% versus 62%).
