5/3/2013

U.S. workers say co-workers are their biggest distraction at work, but nearly eight in 10 (79%) admit to wasting time checking emails, according to a Jive Software survey of full-time, part-time, and self-employed workers. Working Americans say they waste an average of 16% of their workday reading irrelevant email. Almost a fifth (18%) believe they waste more than a quarter of an average day reading irrelevant email.

Almost half of Americans (48%) say they work while on vacation. Nearly a fifth (19%) feel more overwhelmed by technology while at work than they felt five years ago.
