Households With Teens Are Most Likely to Own Tablets

More than one in four households with teens ages 12-17 own a tablet device, compared to 20% of tablet owners in households with those ages 18-24 and 24% tablet ownership in households with those ages 25-34, according to Nielsen.

Conversely, smartphone ownership lags in teen households. Six in 10 households with teens (61%) own smartphones, compared to 74% of homes with 18-to-24-year-olds, and 78% of homes with 25-to-34-year-olds.
