Women Love Their Shoes

Seven in 10 women (70%) own more than 10 pairs of shoes, according to Glamour magazine. Yet, 57% only regularly wear one to three pairs each week, 38% wear between four and six, 4% wear between seven and nine, and 1% wear more than nine pairs of shoes each week.

More than two in three women (59%) plan outfits around their shoes, and 46% keep at least one pair of shoes under their desk at work. An additional 40% have at least one pair in their car.

Women prefer wearing heels less than two inches tall and purchase a variety of colors. A majority of women would prefer new shoes over having coffee every day for a month (56% versus 44%) but would rather have a tropical vacation than a new pair of shoes (93% versus 7%).

Women have experienced ankle or heel pain (43%), fallen down, and twisted or sprained an ankle (32%) as a result of the shoes they were wearing.
