Vendors Responsible for Brides’ Worst Problems on Wedding Day

Vendor problems are the most frequent cause of wedding-day mishaps based on couples who file insurance claims, according to the Travelers Companies. Nearly one in four (24%) insurance claims related to weddings result from vendor problems, while illness and injury account for 19%, vendor issues account for 15%, and weather woes account for 14% of claims.

Among vendor claims, photography/video is the most frequently cited (58%), followed by caterer going out of business (21%), DJ not showing up or going out of business (11%), and problems with the wedding planner (5%).
