It is often said that women dress for other women, but men also care about what their wives and girlfriends look like, according to PriceGrabber. The largest number of men prefer their significant other to dress casually, 13% prefer a classy look, and 12% like business casual.
Meanwhile, most women prefer their significant other to dress casually, while 12% prefer business casual, and 8% prefer a classy style.
Similarly, 39% of men like women to dress casually or trendy on a first date, 21% say it doesn’t matter, and 15% prefer an upscale but modest look. Women, comparatively, like their first date to wear casual clothing (47%), though 20% say it does not matter.
Men say they think a modest high heel is the most attractive shoe style for women (50%); 11% prefer high-heeled boots; 10% prefer stilettos; 9% like sneakers; and 8% favor sandals. Three in 10 women (30%) like men to wear loafers, followed by boots (22%) and formal dress shoes (20%). Few women like men in sandals (3%).
