Moms are more likely than adults in general to believe they are knowledgeable about food production (43% vs. 40%), according to Sullivan Higdon & Sink.
First-person experience, such as a trip to a farm, is more effective among moms than adults in general in improving their perception about the foods they eat.
Moreover, moms (77%) are more likely to think it’s important to learn more about food production than those who describe themselves as good cooks (73%), men (66%), and self-described bad cooks (61%).
One in four moms (24%) considers social media/bloggers to be trustworthy sources of food production information, compared with 18% of adults in general.
