Three In 10 Women Wear BB Cream

The number of women who wear BB Cream makeup, a multifunctional cream containing foundation, sunscreen, and moisturizer, has grown from 24% in 2012 to 29% in 2013, according to Mintel. However, women still use BB Cream less than they do blusher (69%), foundation (68%), powder (64%), concealer (61%), primer (39%), and bronzer (39%).

Women ages 18-24 are more likely than older women to say less expensive cosmetic items work as well as expensive ones (40% vs. 34%). Nearly half of 18-to-24-year-olds (47%) buy color cosmetic products at mass retailers compared to 31% of older women.
