Women Favor High-End Luxury Brands

Chanel and Armani bump Ralph Lauren as women’s favorite fashion brands, according to Brand Keys brand consulting agency. Three in 10 consumers (30%) say brand name and logo are important criteria when they make fashion buying decisions, up from 8% of apparel buyers who felt this way in 2007. Men’s top brands are their favorite sports teams, Armani, Nike, and Ralph Lauren. Women, by comparison, prefer Chanel, Armani, and Ralph Lauren. Tommy Hilfiger ranks fifth among men but isn’t in the top 15 among women.
