Women’s biggest complexion concerns are acne (20%), under-eye circles (16%), and dark spots (15%), according to Marie Claire magazine. And smeared eye makeup (25%), chipped nail polish (22%), and makeup that fades (17%) are their biggest makeup challenges.
Frizz (29%), oiliness (23%), and limp hair (13%) are their chief causes of bad hair days.
Meanwhile, women say Burt’s Bees is the most socially responsible beauty company, and Chanel is the most splurgeworthy brand. Taylor Swift is the celebrity with their favorite fragrance.
Nearly half (47%) say their must-have beauty gadget is a hot tool, such as curling iron, curler, or straightener. One in three (32%) use hair elastics or clips for bad hair days, and 24% select lip balm as the best on-the-job beauty solution.
One in four women (25%) say dry shampoo is the best product of the year.
