ButcherBox, a subscriptions service focused on meats, recently conducted a study that revealed 32% of Americans expect their Thanksgiving gatherings to be larger this year than last. Nearly 30% of respondents said they will be hosting 10-19 people this year. The increase in table sizes means a decrease in hosting duties with nearly half of Americans planning to celebrate Thanksgiving as a guest this year, doubling the amount from last year.
While thee table size increases so does the make up of the gathering. 42% of respondents report they will be celebrating with friends in addition to immediate and extended family. Additionally, 28% report they will be attending more than one celebration, including “Friendsgiving”.
36% of Americans are feeling excited about their ability to deliver a delicious Turkey dinner to their table this year. and 33% feel outright confident about delving the menu staple, and doing it well.

While excitement for the holiday is bright and beaming, more than half of Americans, a whopping 56% report they expect inflation to impact their hosting ability this Thanksgiving.
