Nine in 10 Americans (91%) feels everyone needs to take greater responsibility for “what’s happening with our children,” specifically with the educational system, according to the United Way Worldwide. One in two feel public schools are getting worse and 29% are concerned their child will drop out.
They are willing to help out. Half (51%) have volunteered during the past year, with most seeking organizations that can “help create clear pathways for people to act that are tied to large-scale change.” [Philanthropy/Education]
