Young Adults Splurged In 2009 And Plan To Keep Spending in 2010

The vast majority of 18-44 year olds (76%) splurged on a purchase in 2009, reports Performics. They were most likely to splurge on apparel, shoes, travel, and movie theater tickets.

Nearly two in 10 of those aged 18-44 (18%) plan to spend more in the next 60 days than they did in the same period in 2009, and 24% expect to spend more online during the same period. By comparison, 13% of those aged 45 and older plan to spend more in the next 60 days, and 10% expect to spend more online. [Retail/Service Sector, Online]
