More than half workers who were laid off in the prior year (58%) have found new jobs, reports CareerBuilder, with 51% securing full-time jobs, and 7% part-time work. Of those who found new jobs:
• 61% are making the same or more money;
• 51% are working in a different field;
• 26% needed to relocate to find work; and
• 22% got their job through a personal referral, whereas 21% used an online job board. [Workforce/Employment]
