The vast majority of households (84%) cooks or prepares a meal at home at least once a week, according to Masterbuilt, which makes cooking equipment. While only 54% of people identify themselves as cooking enthusiasts, 92% are experimenting with new recipes or trying new types of food. When they need help, 39% ask their mothers for cooking advice.
Additional findings include:
• 86% of households say cooking at home is more important than it was in the prior year;
• 81% say family dinners are more important; and
• 31% say eating out at a restaurant is more important. [Food/Beverages]
