Customers of Flash Sale, Daily Deal, And Group Buying Sites Order Frequently

Consumers who shop at flash sale sites, daily deal sites, and group buying sites (such as Groupon) shop more frequently than those who purchase from traditional online retailers, but spend less per transaction, according to RJ-Metrics. Customers of daily deal sites shop there an average of every 48 days, flash sale site customers shop every 49 days, and group buying site customers shop every 52 days. Customers of traditional online retailers shop every 89 days.

Customers who learn about an online retailer by clicking on a Facebook ad spend 30% more during their customer “lifetimes” than those who learn about the retailer via Groupon, and 8% more than those who find it via Google ads.
