Shipping Is The Key Concern When Buying Online

Shipping costs is the top concern among U.S. online shoppers, according to Pitney Bowes. By comparison, online shoppers in France are most concerned about tracking orders and those in Brazil say their key concern is the speed of the online checkout. Although the report doesn’t look at gender differences, its findings are relevant for marketers targeting female online shoppers.

More than nine in 10 online consumers worldwide (91%) shop online; 55% have made an online purchase within the past 30 days. U.S. online shoppers are most likely to purchase books, videos, and music. Online shoppers in Brazil (66%) and China (57%) are more likely than U.S. online shoppers (38%) to purchase consumer electronics over the Internet.
