Tablet Users Want To Be Able To Buy Directly From Magazine Ads

Seven in 10 tablet owners (70%) who have read magazines on their devices in the past 30 days would like to be able to purchase items directly from digital magazine ads by clicking on them, according to GfK MRI. The same proportion (70%) say they like digital ads that are tailored to their interests.

More than seven in 10 tablet owners who read magazines on their devices (72%) would prefer to have all digital magazines adopt a consistent format.

Nearly half of those who read magazines on their tablets (48%) say digital magazines take too long to download, and 43% find it hard to find magazines to read on their tablets.

More than two thirds of those who read magazines on their tablets (67%) prefer to read magazines electronically rather than on paper, even though 65% feel it’s more “satisfying” to read a printed magazine.
