Ages 10-11 Are Key Internet Turning Points

Ages 10-11 represent a key turning point in online usage, according to GfK MRI. Almost half of all kids ages 10-11 (44%) have their own email addresses, and children at this age are 95% more likely than younger children to have visited chat rooms within the past 30 days, 103% more likely to have blogged or kept online journals during the past month, and 15% more likely to have played online games during the last 30 days.
