Two in three women Internet users (67%) log into Facebook at least once a day, compared to 54% of men who do the same, according to MyLife. Women are more likely than men to belong to Facebook (95% vs. 86% among Internet users) and to wish for a solution to help them manage all of their social networking profiles (47% vs. 40%).
One in four women (25%) typically visit their social networking profiles when they wake up and before they check their email accounts. By contrast, 18% of men check their social network profiles before email. Women are more likely than men to keep an eye on their social networking profiles to avoid missing news or status updates (65% vs. 59%).
Women (2.6) and men (2.7) average around three email addresses. More than eight in 10 women (83%) check their email daily. Women (24%) and men (23%) are equally likely to have Twitter accounts, but the majority of women (54%) only visit the site once a week.
More than four in 10 women (44%) use Pinterest primarily for consumption; only 10% use the site primarily for sharing. Likewise, 68% of women watch YouTube videos rather than uploading content.
