Scholastic Launches Third Transmedia Platform For Tweens

2/1/2013

Scholastic is introducing its third transmedia property, Spirit Animals, on September 10, 2013. Like Scholastic’s previous transmedia properties, The 39 Clues and Infinity Ring, Spirit Animals links seven books to an online interactive game.

Each book in the series, written by best-selling authors including Brandon Mull and Maggie Stiefvater, center around a fantasy world where children learn that they have an alter animal persona that enables them to have special powers. The online roleplaying game allows tweens to customize their own avatars, select a spirit animal, and embark on challenges “to help save the world of Erdas.”
