Girls ages 12-17 spend three hours and four minutes watching television each day, while women ages 18-34 spend four hours and four minutes, and those over 35 spend six hours and seven minutes watching TV, according to Nielsen.
Teen girls ages 12-17 who own gaming consoles spend 11 minutes a day playing on these devices, while women ages 18-34 spend 14 minutes, and those over age 35 spend three minutes a day.
There are slight differences in these behaviors when women own 7th generation gaming consoles, such as Nintendo Wii or Xbox 360. Teen girls with these devices, for instance, spend less time watching TV (2:56) and more time playing videogames (:15) each day.
Women, regardless of age, spend more time per month watching video via traditional TV than men do (163:17 vs. 147:55) and using their mobile phones to watch video content (5:21 vs. 4:44), but less time using the Internet to watch video content (4:54 vs. 5:58).
