More than three in 10 women (31%) who invest in the stock market identify themselves as self-directed investors who manage their assets online, according to TD Ameritrade. More than eight in 10 of these investors (81%) say they’ve consistently outperformed or performed close to the market over the past two years. The majority (54%) say they have not changed their portfolios during the recent market volatility.
Nearly all (94%) say they are confident and level-headed investors. One in four (25%) describe themselves as conservative investors, saying they don’t want to take any chances with their money. Although 74% are willing to take chances to receive a better return, only 8% say they have a high risk tolerance.
